Getting the right fit is easier than you think, it just takes a few simple adjustments.

This guide will help you understand your muzzle, where it can be adjusted, what the perfect fit looks like, and how to secure everything properly.

Understanding your muzzle

Every Happy Muzzle comes with the same key parts.

• Main basket — covers the snout and allows your dog to pant, drink, and yawn.
• Collar strap — fits snugly behind your dog’s ears to hold everything in place.
• Cheek straps — connect the basket to the collar.
• Chin strap — adds stability under the muzzle.
• Forehead strap — adds stability between the eyes and helps stop slipping.

Each part works together to create a secure, comfortable fit.

Where you can adjust

Your muzzle is designed to be flexible so you can tailor it to your dog’s shape.

You can adjust:
• Cheek straps — move the basket forward or back.
• Chin strap — tightens or loosens the lower stability.
• Collar strap — controls how firmly the muzzle stays behind the ears.

• Forehead strap — adjusts how close the muzzle sits below the eyes.

⚠️ Do not adjust the front screws of the basket as these are permanently fixed!

What the perfect fit looks like

✔ Basket sits flush on the snout
✔ Small gap in front of the nose
✔ Small distance below the eyes
✔ Dog can pant, drink, and yawn comfortably

✖ Not rubbing the eyes or nose
✖ Not wobbling or shifting
